Celery Sticks w/Hot Sauce & Jesse’s Muffins…

I just wanted to quickly share my newest favorite thing to eat: Thin-sliced Celery sticks & Frank’s Red Hot! Yeah!

Last night I was aching for some buffalo wings when I remembered that mostly what I love is the sauce. Those of you that know me very well have seen me drink Frank’s without a dare. I sometimes take a shot of it for no reason at all. Mixed with the crisp, fresh taste of celery, I get all the Freaky Franky Lovin’ I need without all the pesky guilt trips of de-beaked-chickens-turned-snack.

And on another note, I tested out Jesse’s Bran Muffin recipe which I found here.

I changed very little about the recipe, only reducing the bran by 1/4c and replacing it with 1/4c flax & wheat germ and also I didn’t have any applesauce, so I blended a Macintosh apple with a tiny bit of lemon juice (to prevent browning) and some water (to smooth the puree). I considered trying almond or lemon extract instead of vanilla, but decided to hold off until I tasted the real deal. This is the first time I’ve ever made a muffin that actually rose in the pan. I wish we had smello-vision.
