Buttermilk and Blueberry

Originally, we were going to have Blini today but I (Justin) used the wrong recipe and none of them turned out. So, I decided to go with traditional Buttermilk pancakes topped with blueberry preserves.

The recipe:

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/8 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cap full of Vanilla extract
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and blend until smooth.
  2. Heat your pan.
  3. Pour batter onto pan. I poured just less than 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  4. Cook it!
  5. Eat!

oh my! now i’m very hungry.

    1. Is that really all there is to it because that’d be flabegbrasting.

      1. It really is that simple. I don’t know why people buy Bisquick, ever. Pancakes are a peasant food that people have been eating for, I dunno, centuries, I’d guess.

        Try it! Eat it! 🙂
