Our downstairs neighbors (Jessica & Judah) invited us to pick blueberries with them in Warwick. Justin stayed home to work on some domestic projects, but I opted to go with.
It was my first time to pick blueberries and I really had a good time. The evening air was thick and cool and it smelled like clean, fresh-cut grass.
I didn’t know where to look at first, but Jessica pointed me in the right direction after I noticed that her basket was 3x fuller than mine.
It was a surprisingly meditative thing to do; I’ll hitch with them again for other fruit/vegetable picking.
I also picked up some specialty pectin for jam that doesn’t require sugar to thicken the jam. Yay! We’ll see how it works out.
